Salsa Night at Daniel Webster at Daniel Webster Elementary School Cafeteria

January 29, 2010 from 6pm to 10pm

Come to DW for a fun night of Salsa with SFSU's Afro Cuban Jazz Band under the direction of renowned SF recording artist & performer John Calloway. Party is from 6-10 with a Salsa Lesson at 6:30.Tix are $10 for adults; kids are free.Funds go toward supporting the 4th & 5th Grade overnight field trip to Coloma.See More

Why I love Daniel Webster Elementary School

I love Daniel Webster because it’s a small school where staff and teachers are tight knit and care deeply about their students. With enrollment and test scores on the rise, fresh paint and DreamWorks designed murals, and a developing edibles garden where there used to be concrete, DW is a school coming to life.Our growing community is committed to building on the improvements made since 2005 when DW was threatened with closure. About Me:: In addition to working and raising twin boys, I'm a founding member of the The Potrero Residents Education Fund - 7 volunteer moms who came together in the wake of the threatened closure of Daniel Webster Elementary in 2005. Our mission is to support Potrero Hill pubic schools. In addition to helping engineer a turnaround at DW, we established and run Potrero Kids at Daniel Webster, a private, affordable Spanish bi-lingual preschool.
